Company Profile

USG Corp. manufactures and distributes building materials. It produces products for use in new residential, new nonresidential, and residential and nonresidential repair and remodel construction, as well as products used in certain industrial processes. It operates its business through the following segments: Gypsum, Ceilings, and USG Boral Building Products (UBBP). The Gypsum segment manufactures and markets gypsum and related products. The Ceilings segment produces and sells interior systems products worldwide. This segment supplies interior ceilings products used primarily in commercial applications. The UBBP segment distributes and retails certain building products, mines raw gypsum and sells natural and synthetic gypsum throughout Asia, Australasia and the Middle East. The company was founded in 1902 and is headquartered in Chicago, IL.
