Wells Fargo & Company (WFC) Reports Increase in Quarterly Earnings

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) has reported encouraging numbers for its fiscal third quarter. The bank has surpassed the analysts’ expectations. Wells Fargo & Company reported 7 percent increase in earnings, which stood at$3.3 billion. The increase is mainly attributed to the increase in deposits and refinancing.

It had released $500 million during the second quarter of the year.

Wells Fargo & Company earned app. $2 billion from mortgage originations. At the very same time, it reported $380 million decline in its overdraft fee revenue. This decline is due to the changes in the legislations related to the levy of overdraft fee. The company said that it expects surge in loan demand.
