TSA Asks for a Union

It seems that the recent extensive searches and pat downs at the airport have led to both TSA employees and the public feeling uncomfortable. TSA managers are not thrilled with the additional work that has been brought upon them due to the added security measure and they are looking to vote on forming their union within the next few months.

TSA employees perform some of the lowest paid jobs and until now the government as well as airline companies including Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) have been able to take advantage of the savings. Once a union is formed, the cost to the government is bound to rise as pay scales will be revised.
