The One Thing Republicans and Democrats Agree On

It is not very common for Republicans and Democrats to agree on the same issues but there is one thing they agree on and that is to increase free trade to improve the United States job market. It was announced earlier today that both parties have agreed to improve trade ties with the east to hold on to the U.S. jobs. Increasing number of Asia-Pacific Company’s is pulling out of the United States and as a result, the still high unemployment rate is on the rise.

Discussions are currently being held at the G-20 summit taking place in South Korea and further talks to improve the transatlantic partnership will continue in Japan later this week. Asian based companies like Toyota (NYSE:TM) are being encouraged to continue their operations in the United States with US skilled workers. Toyota like many other corporations is bringing in their own skilled people to deal with their everyday business and as a result the US skilled workers are not getting the chance. With discussion and better trade with the Asia-Pacific companies, the aim is to increase the US employment rate. Republicans and Democrats alike have agreed to make this a major discussion point at these current meetings and this is bound to bring about changes in the future.
