Stocks in Red in Late Trading


Stocks have pared their initial gains and are in red in trading currently. All three major indexes had risen sharply earlier today on the back of better than expected consumer sentiment report and earnings from JP Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM).

At last check, the Dow Jones was trading 0.12% lower at 13,310.71, the S&P 500 was trading 0.37% lower at 1,427.55, and the Nasdaq was trading 0.19% lower at 3,043.79.

Financials are leading the losses in the S&P 500 in trading currently. At last check, the sector was trading 1.03% lower. Basic Materials sector is also down sharply in trading currently. At last check, the sector was trading 0.69% lower. Energy sector is currently trading 0.61% lower. Transportation sector has been the best performer in the S&P 500 in trading today. At last check, the sector was trading 0.38% higher.

Among the major gainers and losers in trading currently are Lexicon Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: LXRX), which is currently trading 10.46% higher at $2.46, Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NYSE:AMD), which is currently trading 10.47% lower at $2.87, J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. (NASDAQ:JBHT), which is currently trading 8.27% higher at $59.33, Liquidity Services Inc. (NASDAQ: LQDT), which is currently trading 10.46% lower at $39.05, Mcmoran Exploration Co. (NYSE:MMR), which is currently trading 5.12% higher at $11.91, JP Morgan Chase, which is currently trading 1.66% lower at $41.40, and Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC), which is currently trading 3.07% lower at $34.10.
