Solderling Breaks Through

Sweden’s Robin Solderling won the Paris Masters Title by beating 14th Ranked Gael Monfils. This is Solderling’s most prestigious title yet. Solderling missed winning the French open twice by ending up a runner up.

Monfils came to the finals with high hopes by upsetting Roger Federer in the semifinals. Monfils came close to winning, but by losing match points at vital moments, Monfil ended up losing. Solderling eluded any stupid mistakes and made use of every tiebreaker to his advantage. Solderling obtained a 3 – 0 lead followed by a 5 – 1 advantage over Monfil. Next up is the Barclays (NYSE:BCS) ATP World Tour. Roger Federer will be looking to take his revenge.
