SAP Apologizes To Oracle

SAP AG (NYSE:SAP) Co-CEO Bill McDermott has apologized to Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) on behalf of its Software maintenance division.

The Software maintenance Unit of SAP illegally downloaded oracle’s software without Oracle’s authorization. SAP AG (NYSE:SAP) was sued for copyright infringement. This apology was made by the Co-CEO of SAP from the witness stand of the court.

The Software unit also known as the TomorrowNow unit has been scrapped since. The SAP AG (NYSE:SAP) CEO also accepted his companies inability in their ineffectiveness in detecting these copyright infringement. SAP AG CEO (NYSE:SAP) also declared that their company has not profited from the sales of this copyright infringement. Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) is demanding a compensation of around $1.7 billion for this copyright infringement.
