Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RAH) 88.80 +18.57 (26.44%) Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. (RAH) reported results for the quarter ended September 30, 2012. Net sales up 14% for the year and up 8% in the quarter. Adjusted diluted EPS $2.97 for the year, up 11%, and $.71, or flat, in the quarter.
Monster Beverage Corp (NASDAQ:MNST) 51.97 +6.09 (13.28%). Wall Street Journal states Shares in Monster Beverage Corp. soared more than 10% in afternoon trade Tuesday as investors shifted gears from recent selloffs, betting that fears of a regulatory clampdown on energy drinks have been overblown.
Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ:CROX) 13.49 +1.14 (9.23%) In a 63-page sector report Tuesday, Goldman Sachs analyst Taposh Bari rated clogs maker Crocs CROX and Foot Locker , the biggest U.S. athletic-specialty retailer, as buys. “We think the easiest gains in the domestic footwear cycle have been made,” Bari wrote. “Entering Year 4 of the cycle, we anticipate greater dispersion among domestic-product trends and see value in global brands that are currently out of favor. Domestically, we think the athletic-product trend proves more durable than nonathletic/fashion.”
Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW) 12.13 +0.78 (6.87%) . Corning Inc. said on Tuesday that North American television sales are stronger than expected in the fourth quarter and full-year sales of its Gorilla Glass are nearing $1 billion. He told investors that stronger-than-expected retail demand for LCD televisions and other consumer electronics devices in North America and China are resulting in an improved view of the LCD glass supply chain.
Yelp Inc (NYSE:YELP) 20.24 +1.25 (6.58%) Yelp Inc. shares rose on Tuesday, as Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Youssef Squali raised his rating on the company’s stock to buy from hold.
Losers
Mcmoran Exploration Co (NYSE:MMR) 8.18 -1.47 (-15.23%). Investors are skeptic that MMR’s Davy Jones well in the Gulf of Mexico may not hold much.
Thor Industries, Inc. (NYSE:THO) 38.60 -5.00 (-11.47%) Thor Industries’ ($39.22, -$4.38, -10.05%) fiscal first-quarter profit rose 39% as the company reported a double-digit sales gain in its recreational vehicle business. However, earnings missed analysts’ expectations.
Research In Motion Limited (USA) (NASDAQ:RIMM) 10.72 -1.26 (-10.52%). Research In Motion Limited (USA) (RIMM) is scheduled to release its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2013 on December 20, 2012. Research In Motion will hold its BlackBerry® 10 launch event on January 30, 2013.
