Google And JDA Partner to Launch Local Availability Tool

JDA Software Group (NASDAQ:JDAS) and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) have partnered to release a tool that will help retailers to share with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) their store details, inventory and the product list. There were rumors of Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) taking over Groupon, which turned out to be false. Instead Google is following in the lines of Groupon and possible taking it a few steps further.

This tool will give shopkeepers and customers information about the products they are searching for on Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) product search and google.com. This will give local shoppers more exposure and set them apart from other shopkeepers. This is an attempt by Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) to make online shopping experience more simple and lead to more foot traffic.
