General Electric to Buy 25K Electric Vehicle

General Electric (NYSE:GE) has announced its plans for buying 25,000 electric cars for its employees around the world.

More than half of its entire vehicles will be replaced by electric cars. More than half of these electric cars will be General Motors yet to be released Chevrolet Volt.

General Motors (NYSE:GE) purchase of this huge number of electric cars will be the biggest purchase of electric vehicles by a corporate anywhere in the world. This is a part of the continuous effort by General Electric (NYSE:GE) to become a truly green company and have the least impact on the environment.
