Google Downgrades Unscrupulous Websites

Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) in an announcement said that it will change the method in which it ranks search results. This way sites owned and run by unscrupulous merchants will be ranked the lowest. This will avoid confusion for customers, who get cheated because unreliable e-vendors.


This change was carried out after an article in New York Times illustrated the unreliable methods used by Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) to rank search pages. After this report, Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) has modified logarithms used to rank pages. This will assure that the site’s ranking reduces with every negative comment from present customers. What kind of modifications made, were not disclosed.
