The state of Massachusetts has been named as the top equipped to stand on global innovation based financial system. This study was carried out by the Kauffman Foundation across the states in America.
Massachusetts ranks first because of its world class Universities like MIT and Harvard. Along with these it also has major companies such as Biogen Idec Inc. (NASDAQ:BIIB) and Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ:PEGA) which have created a niche for themselves in the international markets. Washington D.C ranks second due to its strong aviation and software backbone. The home of major companies such as AAPL(NASDAQ:AAPL) and Facebook, California is just down the list.
