Stocks Headed for a Mixed Finish









Stocks are headed for a mixed in trading today as ongoing worries about the euro zone debt crisis continue to keep investors on the edge. Investors’ sentiment has also been weighed down by concerns over a global economic slowdown.

At last check, the Dow Jones was trading 0.29% lower at 12,083.56, the S&P 500 was trading 0.40% lower at 1,273.15, and the Nasdaq was trading 0.01% higher at 2,747.68.


Industrials and Transportation stocks are leading the losses in the S&P 500 in late trading. At last check, Industrials were trading 1.20% lower, while Transportation stocks were trading 1.30% lower. Conglomerates are currently trading 1.12% lower. Consumer Cyclical sector is also down sharply in late trading today. At last check, the sector was trading 0.64% lower. Services and Utilities are the only sectors in green in trading currently. Services are currently trading 0.10% higher, while Utilities are currently trading 0.03% higher.

Among the major gainers and losers in late trading today are Cleveland BioLabs Inc. (NASDAQ: CBLI), which is currently trading 60.63% higher at $2.04, CREDO Petroleum Corporation (NASDAQ: CRED), which is currently trading 31.91% higher at $14.32, Cheniere Energy Partners L.P. (AMEX: CQP), which is currently trading 11.75% lower at $20.21, Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE: DAL), which is currently trading 11.21% lower at $10.22, Concur Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: CNQR), which is currently trading 7.28% higher at $62.63, US Airways Group Inc. (NYSE: LCC), which is currently trading 10.52% lower at $11.31, and Groupon Inc. (NASDAQ: GRPN), which is currently trading 8.67% lower at $8.85.
