The Geo Group, Inc. (NYSE:GEO) 32.00 +2.56 (8.70%). The GEO Group, Inc. (NYSE: GEO) (“GEO”) today announced that its Board of Directors (the “Board”) has unanimously authorized GEO to take all necessary steps, including the divestiture of certain health care assets, that will prepare GEO to position itself to operate in compliance with the real estate investment trust (“REIT”) rules of the Internal Revenue Code (the “REIT rules”) beginning January 1, 2013.

SandRidge Energy Inc. (NYSE:SD) 7.29 +0.50 (7.36%). SandRidge Energy, Inc. (SD) announced that its Board of Directors has declared a $3.00 per share semi-annual dividend on its shares of 6.0% Convertible Perpetual Preferred Stock that will be paid in cash on January 15, 2013 to holders of record on January 1, 2013. The Board of Directors also declared a $4.25 per share semi-annual dividend on its shares of 8.5% Convertible Perpetual Preferred Stock that will be paid in cash on February 15, 2013 to holders of record on February 1, 2013.

Ruckus Wireless Inc.  (NYSE:RKUS) 17.60 +1.20 (7.32%). David Milstead from The Globe and Mail states – There have been no material announcements from the company this week, but it has put out a string of press releases touting the use of the company’s products by phone company Cincinnati Bell and a number of hotel chains.

Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:SHLD) 42.96 +2.71 (6.73%). Upward trend attributed to news of positive mention at Cleveland Research.

Amarin Corporation plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:AMRN) 9.69 -2.26 (-18.91%). Amarin Corporation plc (AMRN) announced a $100 million non-equity financing with an investment fund managed by Pharmakon Advisors and that Amarin is continuing its preparations to commercialize Vascepa® (icosapent ethyl) capsules with the hiring of a sales force in the United States.

Youku Tudou Inc (ADR) (NYSE:YOKU) 13.94 -1.05 (-7.00%). Among Stocks making 52 week lows

Nexen Inc. (USA) (NYSE:NXY). Reuters reports – Canadian authorities approved the acquisition of Nexen Inc by CNOOC Ltd and the purchase of Progress Energy by Petronas, easing months of anxiety over the fate of foreign investments in Canadian resources.
