The U.S. equity market is having a mixed day, with the Dow Jones and the S&P 500 currently in red, and the Nasdaq currently in green. The Dow Jones is currently down 0.26% to 11,134.91, the S&P 500 is currently down 0.28% to 1,182.25 and the Nadaq is currently up 0.13% to 2,494.25.
TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: AMTD) today reported its fourth-quarter and fiscal 2010 financial results. The company reported a 27% drop in its fourth-quarter profit. The company reported fourth-quarter profit of $114 million, or $0.20 per share, down from $156.7 million, or $0.26 per share reported in the same period in the previous year. TD Ameritrade’s fourth-quarter revenue declined 7.5% to $608.8 million. Shares of TD Ameritrade are currently up 0.54% to $16.84, after touching an intra-day high of $16.85.
International Business Machines corp. (NYSE: IBM) today said that it has kept aside an additional $10 billion to buy back its shares and intends to reserve additional money for buybacks in April. The move comes as the company’s shares trade near an all-time high. Shares of IBM are currently up 0.31% to $140.27, after touching an intra-day high of $142.
Sherwin-Williams Company (NYSE: SHW) today reported its third-quarter financial results. The company reported third-quarter profit of $175.3 million, or $1.60 per share. Analysts were expecting the company to reported third-quarter profit of $1.68 per share. The company’s bottom-line has been negatively impacted by rising prices of raw materials. Shares of Sherwin-Williams Company are currently down 4.43% to $71.27, after touching an intra-day low o $69.56.
