HP Ditching Oracle

Hewlett Packard (NYSE:HPQ) is about to sign up with salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM) to use a software that is used for dealing with customer relationship management. This is bad news for Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) who is the owner of the current manager for Hewlett Packard (NYSE:HP). Seibel by Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) will be completely stopped from being used.

The mega deal is for more than 40 thousand seats. This is a huge loss for Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) and will probably follow a few lawsuits. Salesforce.com inc. (NYSE:CRM) is organizing a cloud computing event called as Dreamforce 2010 on Dec 6. The official announcement will be made at this event at the event.
