Eaton Vance Corp. Reports Higher Quarterly Revenue

Eaton Vance Corp. (NYSE:EV) has announced that it has increased its quarterly profits by 4 percent. The company has attributed the increase to the increase in its fee. The company has reported $50.3 million in earnings before adjustments. On per share basis, the income stood at 41 cents. The company had earned 39 cents or $48.4 million in net income a year earlier. Eaton Vance Corp. was expected to report its results at 39 cents per share.

The company also reported increase in its administration and investment advisory fees. Eaton Vance Corp. also increased the assets under management by 20 percent. As on October 31, the company has $185.2 billion worth of assets under management. The company has reported that it had a net inflow of $3.2 billion during the quarter. The company has also said that it has not changed its views about credit quality. Its CEO added, “Municipal bonds and asset class continue to represent one of the highest quality categories of investment in fixed-income area. In our judgment, all that has changed in the past few weeks is that the price of municipal securities have become more attractive.”
