Dell and Acer Reveal Tablets

Acer held a press conference in New York yesterday to unveil a slew of mobile devices. Acer announced the launch of a tablet, smart phone, touch book, all of which come with a touch screen interface which are targeted at Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) products. Acer also unveiled a content store and a content sharing platform for its android and windows based mobile devices.

The most interesting of the newly announced products is the dual screen laptop or touchbook, also known as Iconia. Iconia comes with double 14 inch touch screens. Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) recently released its dual convertible tablet cum net book. Known as Inspiron, it can be used as a tablet, a TV and a laptop.
