Gainers SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR) 9.07 +2.94 (47.96%) Analysts at Lazard upgraded the stock to Buy from Neutral with an $11 price target, one day after the company sold its Antelope Valley solar projects in southern California to Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) for more than $2 billion. Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) 36.35 +4.15 (12.89%) Herbalife has planned an analyst and investor meeting on January 10th to rebut Ackman's accusations that the company is a pyramid scheme. Herbalife pledged to create 493 jobs over three years, with the bulk being 386 full-time and full-time equivalent production jobs, along with 45 in quality assurance, 29 in quality control, 17 in general administration and 16 other positions. UniFirst Corp. (NYSE:UNF) 81.87 +6.17 (8.15%). UniFirst Corp.'s fiscal first-quarter profit jumped a stronger-than-expected 19%, as the uniform-rental company's core laundry business continued to show strength. The company also raised its guidance for the year. Ross Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROST) 58.78 +4.34 (7.97%), Company said comparable store sales for December grew 6 percent and the ROST increased its earnings guidance. First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) 34.41 +2.42 (7.57%). The solar power specialist got a boost from an analyst upgrade and a big upward move by another big player in the business, SunPower Corp. Also an announcement from the Chinese government that it will “reform” the industry by encouraging mergers and acquisitions, and by banning local governments from propping up local favorites with loans. Losers Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX) 50.70 -10.49 (-17.14%). MLNX announced that its fourth quarter revenue is projected to be in the range of $119 million to $121 million, below the company’s previous guidance of $145 million to $150 million. Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (NYSE:FDO) 55.74 -8.30 (-12.96%). FDO latest quarterly financial results showed profits hurt as it increasingly stocks up on low profit margin goods its competitors often carry. Family Dollar also lowered its projections for its current fiscal year. Fortinet, Inc. (NASDAQ:FTNT) 19.33 -1.86 (-8.78%). FTNT announced the company continues to maintain its market leadership position in the global Unified Threat Management (UTM) market according to Frost & Sullivan. Qlik Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:QLIK) 20.69 -1.90 (-8.41%) Masimo Corporation (NASDAQ:MASI) 19.56  -1.77 (-8.30%) . Wall Street Strategies issued a sell rating on the stock.
